I had to get quotes for a glass door.
The company we went with told me it would take 8-10 weeks to arrive. Around ten weeks later the glass door arrived and was promptly installed.
The following day I received a quote for the same door, from another company. This was a company I had reached out to over ten weeks prior, and this was the first time I had heard from them.
Imagine if your prospects aren't hearing from your sales team for ten weeks!?
This was enough time for me to order from another company, wait for the Suez Canal to get unblocked, global supply chains to speed up (the company told me 8-10 weeks was absurd but the best they could do), and for the door to be delivered and installed!?
Here's the thing....
Most companies/Presidents/CEOs/Sales Managers don't even know this is happening. I know this because I've been in so many of them and I've seen it with my own eyes (and helped fixed it). Sure, you're busy and sure sales are up, but what is being missed and at what cost? What happens when you're not so busy?
Prospects and leads are only "hot" for a very short time - and this time is constantly getting shorter.
One of the best things you can do to maximize your results is to get the correct information into the hands of your leads as fast as possible.
Speed IS a competitive advantage.
